Now by “live” I don’t mean balling out or overspending, remember I am the All Cash Queen!Wow!, it’s truly been longer than I care to mention since i’ve written but I’m very excited about how much has happened and how much I’ve grown. It wasn’t always an easy road but I look back with a smile on my heart and no regrets. Here’s a quick re-cap before we continue the journey. I am now living and working in my passion as a financial coach and speaker, educating empowering my clients and audiences to financial freedom fulltime, Whoo hoo! I’ve had my work featured in Upscale Magazine, I got the opportunity to be an assistant online instructor for the Steve Harvey Radical Success Institute. Finally after a total financial meltdown, 2 foreclosures and bankruptcy I was able to purchase a new home last year, stay tuned I’ll be sharing how I did it.
This sound like a lot of living going on, right? But honestly, I would paused only for seconds to enjoy these moments and then I was back stressing over accomplishing my goal of total debt freedom. Long story short, I was not completely being in my moments or being intentional about taking care of the little Rhonda inside. Well it’s 2016 and I’m taking my act back on the road making sure my plan includes big Rhonda, presently on a diet stay tuned, and little Rhonda.
Here are 4 powerful questions to keep you living & loving your financial freedom journey:
1. What’s the Happy Medium? - Finding a healthy middle ground on your journey can help keep your peace and sanity while continuing to work towards the finish line. As a financial coach, this is something I’ve done for hundreds of clients. I just forgot to do it for myself. Not every goal in life is all or none or black and white. Life is full of Grey areas it’s all a matter of finding a shade of Grey that works for you.
2. What have I done for ME lately? - If you don’t include you, no one else will. I often spent so much time and energy looking ahead that I forgot to make myself happy now. Don’t make the fatal mistake of comparing where you are to where to where you want to be. My advise schedule happy time just for you. Start small and make it a regular thing. A massage, a movie, a girls night out, 4-hrs alone at a coffee shop all of these will do wonders to restore your strength to continue your journey.
3. What is this costing me literally and figuratively? - Now let’s be clear, I am all about saving my money in anyway possible. When looking at the total cost of an item or service you should give consideration to what it cost literally, which is the price and what it cost figuratively this includes the value it holds for you. This is not an excuse to get crazy but if the value cost over time allows you to stay sane and reach your goal in the long run it may be worth it.
4. What is the most meaningful action you can take now? - Fire, Aim & Ready! Because I’m naturally an over thinker this has become my lifesaver question. When staring at a “Big Hairy Audacious” goal or dream, relaxing or taking time to smell the roses doesn't seem like an option. When things get out of hand or you feel overwhelmed use this questions to help break things down into smaller pieces and fire away!
Well I’m officially back on the road again and I’ll be blogging and sharing tips on destroying debt, building wealth, loving myself and enjoying the journey. For me they add up to living “The Abundant Life”, won’t you join me.
See you soon!
